About Me
Dan doesn't much like to describe himself, but when he does it tends to sound roughly like this.
Hi, I'm Dan. I'm a 21-year-old Software Engineering student in my final year at the University of Sheffield with a deep-seated desire to design and a fascination with the web. I like to code, draw, sing, play, watch, listen and read on a regular and frequent basis. Once I've finally removed myself from the world of academia I'll probably spend my days drifting from one of these activities to another.
I was brought up on the sandy dunes of Saudi Arabia where I learned to love the sun, and was swept away years ago to the cold countryside of my homeland in southern England. As such I long for the sun to be out all the time and have a serious case of wanderlust wherever I am, and don't like to be in one place for too long.
I sometimes have a tendency to overthink so I try to mould that into something positive; it works great in exam revision. My main skills lie in PHP, HTML, CSS, Python and MySQL and combinations thereof, and I like to mess around a lot in Photoshop and Illustrator too. When I'm not developing for the web it's usually in C# or Java.
